Amazing and friendly staff, but tricky to find location in the old section of the city. The style and layout of the Riad is very nice.Breakfast is fresh and nice to have home made on the top floor.Walking distance to the main square in the Medina. There was some noice from quests sitting in the common area.
Excellent service. Just loved this authentic Morrocan Riad. Stayed for 4 nights. Once you get your bearings it's easy to find & easy to nip back from the main Square in a short walk if you need to. Hosts are lovely & make you very welcome. If you have mobility issues then not for you. Otherwise l would highly recommend. I would return here with no hesitation!
The Riad was a bit tricky to find because of narrow streets. The place was very clean, breakfast excellent and staff very helpful.Wifi inconsistent but staff helped sort any issues.Convenient for The Big Square, which is where most of the tourists go.We found the People to be very friendly and honest.
This is an absolutely charming Riad only minutes from the main square in the Medina. The hosts are wonderful, friendly and kind. Breakfast is fantastic and evening meals (which are extra - though very reasonable) were delicious and huge. All our excursions were booked and sorted by our hosts after mentioning our intentions, and we were led each morning to the tour operators - which made everything so seamless. The Riad is like an oasis; beds were comfortable and the toilets/ shower all good. The only problem with the Riad is that it is hard to find, so I’d suggest downloading a map onto a phone before being dropped off by taxi outside the Medina. I also wouldn’t advise arriving outside times when you can ask people directions. Final point - it helps to speak French.
This riad is charming. Its decor is authentic, and its tucked away down a narrow alley, adding to the atmosphere. That means you need to arrange a pick up from the airport, as you’d struggle to find it in the dark on your own. It’s kept spick and span by the managers, who are extremely hospitable. We speak French, so could communicate with them easily, although their English is servicable I think, so long as you don’t have complex requests or questions. If you have mobility issues, this place is not for you, as there are several difficult steps to negotiate. We stayed in December, and the bedroom was a little cold at night, and in the morning, as it overlooks the open courtyard. Although it had a heatpump, it didn’t heat the room very efficiently, as it had such a high ceiling. However, there were blankets on the beds. The hot water takes about 5 minutes to warm up, but once it gets going, it’s super hot. Breakfast was served on the roof terrace, which was COLD! You need to pack a warm jacket, scarf and gloves if you stay here in the winter, unless you skip breakfast, or are hardy. The breakfast itself was carb heavy, but very palatable. The riad is located 10 minutes walk from the main square, which means it’s noisy - the open courtyard collects the sound from the many nearby mosques and the square if there’s a concert on. Having said all this, it’s a great little place for a couple of nights.
My room was quaint, and clean with an ensuite, and separate shower room. The bed was comfortable. The addition of toiletries, hairdryer and bath robes was a nice touch. The riad is located just a few minutes walk from Jmaa el fnaa but is very peaceful. Abdul is kindly and welcoming, and efficient but unobtrusive. Breakfast on the roof terrace was lovely, but very carb heavy, consisting of bread and pancakes with jams, yoghurt, juice, coffee etc and there were little birds flitting around nearby for company. The roof terrace gets the sun in the afternoon, but there is no view of the city from there. A 2 course meal in the evening at the riad is 150MAD I think. I did not eat there but heard the food was good. I imagine in the summer the riad would be a lovely cool space. The furnishings and plants are tasteful and simple, and there is a pleasant calm atmosphere. I would certainly consider staying here again, due to the ease of getting around the medina from there, and the fact that it is very civilised.
Abdul was our host at the Riad, and he was always gracious and went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. We arrived at night...Not only did Abdul took us to a local eatery (we were starving!), he came back to check on us to make sure we were alright, and offered to return again so he can walk us back to the riad! This riad is also walking distance to the main square...easy to find...easy to get around. Rooms are comfortable and clean. We enjoyed breakfast on the terrace every morning. Though the medina can be quite noisy with all the action, Riad Noor Charana is always quiet and peaceful and relaxing. Good choice for a medina stay! Thank you, again, Abdul!
Still here! Sat on the roof terrace on our last evening eating our morroccon feast freshly prepared by our hosts. Warning - to avoid disappointment make sure you tell them what time you want to eat as they cook it all day for you. We stayed for 3 nights. The taxi from the airport dropped us a little way away and told us ‘it’s a short walk down there’. No help at all! Luckily an Australian couple saw us looking confused and helped. The rhiad is so traditional and lovely. Clean and cool. The hosts are so so helpful even though they cannot speak too much English we didn’t struggle to communicate. Breakfast was different every morning, freshly cooked. We ate out the first lunch and were disappointed..... we made sure we stayed at the rhiad to eat in the evenings as the food was out of this world, authentic and cheap!!! We would definitely return..... now we ve found our bearings!!! A truely fantastic gem
My friend and I have just returned from a 3 night stay here at this lovely riad. The location is a 10 minute walk from the main square. Staff spoke little English but communication wasnt an issue at all. The room and bathroom were clean and the beds were made every day. Breakfast was declicious and absolutely gorgeous to sit in the morning sun whilst eating. We also ate here one evening and the meal was super cheap and was probably the best meal we had in our time in Marrakesh. I would absolutely recommend staying here. The location is perfect, staff are super friendly and welcoming and it is a beautiful area of calm in an otherwise crazy city. We will definitely be returning.
Thank you Radea and Abdel, for the most comfortable and enjoyable stay. From your very warm welcome late at night to taking care of me when I wasn’t feeling the best. This riad is central-and so clean. I’d recommend this riad. Thank you.
Very good value accommodation in centrale Marrakech which about a two minute walk from the main market. Very delicious and varied breakfast each day. Beds are made each day although they rarely gave us new toilet paper and never gave use extra soap. WiFi isn't great, but also not poor given the structure of the building. Hotel transfer more expensive than getting a taxi, but is far more convenient. The couple who ran it are very helpful and friendly but as highlighted by some other reviews you need to speak French or Arabic to get any proper assistance.
Thanks so much for all you’ve done to make our stay here so special - we have loved the stylish simplicity of the riad and you’ve looked after us so well! The breakfasts have been superb, the Moroccan feast on our first night was SUPER delicious and nothing has been too much trouble for you.
We stopped here for 2 nights this week.it is a 5 minute walk away from the main square which is an eye opener. I’ve travelled the world quite a bit and this is one busy square with all sorts going on. Any one wanting an alcoholic drink Sky Bar is the closest to the main square. The Riad is tooked away and would be hard to find unless with a guide. The Riad itself is lovely. Very traditional and we found very clean as well. The hosts were lovely even though not all spoke English well they were more than happy to try and help. Our room was small but there was a communal area just outside our room which we used on a morning before we went out. On arrival we were given some biscuits and mint tea. My husband loved this but couldn’t find one as nice as it was in the hotel. The breakfast in the hotel was basic but nice. Both days Abdul served us and we had a variety of bread, an egg, orange juice, tea and coffee, orange juice and a yogurt. If you are wanting a couple of days in the hustle and bustle but wanted a quite nights sleep I would recommend this Riad.
A magazine-worthy interior was not matched by assistance or personal warmth. Difficult to find or speak with someone who could make or change arrangements. Did make arrangements to be picked up from train station ("We will hold card with riad's name."), but no one appeared.Very organized to arrange departure. The heart of this riad was represented by the lovely woman who prepared a very nice breakfast on the ultra pleasant roof-top. Rooms are very comfortable with very a very adequate place to hang clothes. It has a good, quiet location, but would not be first recommendation for English-speaking or first-time guest to Marrakech.
We really enjoyed our stay at Raid Noor Charana. Our entry was less than optimal due to a mix up with the Taxi Service. I would not recommend arriving at night without a plan in place to get to the Raid. It is down a dark alley off of a crazy street and having never been in the area before, it was scary to arrive alone at night. That said once we were adjusted we found it a wonderful experience. The location is actually quite fantastic being right in the heart of things. Please be aware of motorcycles, in my opinion the most dangerous aspect of the city. The raid is very comfortable and the staff was very nice. The food is amazing, due your self a favor and have at least one dinner at the Raid, you must let the staff know in advance as dinner is on request only. Would definitely recommend. December weather is amazing.
We just stayed at the Riad Noor. Slightly difficult to find, but there are clearly marked signs and the GPS was on point. The rooms were comfortable and CV included space to hang garments which us nice for a longer stay. I really enjoyed the elegant décor. Creams and dark brown, with natural greenery highlighting the Marrakech aesthetic. The evening was very quiet which made for a restful sleep.
If you are looking to board in Marrakech, particularly in the middle of the city's main attraction; the Medina then the Riad Noor Charana is the place for you. At the risk of coming off as a cheap salesman, this Riad grants it's guests the opportunity to live with the same luxuries and hospitality as a visit to Grandma's house. Conversely, this Riad has no television, which could be problematic to couch potatoes but if you are reading this then my guess is that you are not one! The lack of digital entertainment encourages guests to immerse themselves into the busy streets of Marrakech. The riad is located within walking distance to the infamous Jemaa el-Fnna a colorful, effervescent marketplace that is a must see when visiting Marrakech (this place is full of lively characters, some of them are dodgy but I will cover that in my review of the Jemaa el-Fnaa). The Riad is family-owned with a mild-mannered owner whom of which will go out of his way to ensure your happiness and safety. Breakfast was provided every morning by a lady (assumed to be the owners mother) who is sweeter than the irresistible assortments of jams provided. Though we did not get a chance to eat at the Riad's restaurant for dinner, we had a conversation with other guests who exclaimed that the food here was better than anything that they had eaten in Marrakech. We were inclined to believe them due to the fact that in the few discussions that we had with these guests, they were heading to dinner at the restaurant (as we were on our way to hit the town for the night)! All and all this was a comfortable hotel that made you feel at home while on holiday! A true gem of the city!
It's a nice place to enjoy Marrakesh, like a peaceful oasis in the Medina center, only 5 minutes walking to Jemaa El Fnaa square. It's quiet with the owners always taking care on every detail to give visitors a quality treatment.Riad is always clean and beds are confortable. Room has air conditioner and its own bathroom completely aquiped.Breakfasts are complete with natural orange juice, coffe or tea, toasts, handmade mermelades, yogourt, etc. And if you need to book it in a non usual time, owners are open mind to your necessities. You will just have to take into account owners don't speak english, only french, but it wasn't a problem for us because they are likely to understand you anyway.
This modestly elegant Riad is a very short and interesting walk to the square in the Medina. Elisabeth, who we didn't see, owns it, and the family on site, Radia, Abdul and their son make perfect hosts. They have enough English, and we had enough French, to get by well. The breakfasts are tasty, filling and have a touch of variety. Radia made us a delicious meal of local dishes one evening, which we ate on the secluded roof top. Altogether lovely.
Superb location right int heart of the Medina. Exceptionally friendly and helpfull staff. Smal Cosy rooms.

Everything, the breakfast was really good.
This was the best riad we stayed in whilst travelling around Morocco. It was a peaceful haven where you could hear little birds throughout the day. The riad always smelt lovely, like a spa - and was incredible clean and tidy, including the bed linen and towels (we have stayed in other riads around Morocco of similar prices where the bedding and towels were dirty). The room we stayed in was a good size with a window that looked out into the middle and with a good sized bathroom. The hosts were very welcoming and kind, they clearly take pride in their riad and look after it well. Abdul also arranged a taxi for us the day we were leaving. Would recommend if you want to stay somewhere peaceful but in the medina.
The room was comfortable, the staff was friendly. The riad is very beautiful.
The place is so calm and the owner is so friendly and welcoming. Breakfast on the rooftop is fantastic.
